The first two residential buildings of Vītolu Parks, a next‑generation urban district in Sarkandaugava, have officially reached their full structural height. The topping‑out ceremony marks a significant milestone in the development of the €75 million project that is set to transform the area into a modern, green and people‑focused neighborhood.
The project is developed by real estate developer Invego, with construction works carried out by “Pillar Contractor”. The first apartments are scheduled for completion in 2026, and reservations are now open for an additional 90 modern homes in the newly launched second stage.
Construction partner “Pillar Contractor” highlights that the project is progressing according to plan. “Reaching the highest point of a building is always symbolic for a construction team. It means that a significant portion of the work has already been completed, while an important phase of construction still lies ahead. It is a pleasure to be involved in the construction of this project, and we thank for the opportunity given to us,” says Jānis Lāčaunieks, Chairman of the Board of Pillar Contractor, SIA.
Architect Oskars Vāvere from “RUUME arhitekti” explains that from the very start the architecture and the outdoor spaces were treated as one unified whole: “The apartments are bright, well-planned and modern, but the courtyards, pathways and green zones are just as important – they offer welcoming space to relax, meet neighbors and enjoy daily life outdoors.
Deputy Chairman of Riga City Council for Urban Development and Riga Metropolis Māris Sprindžuks notes: “Riga has many territories with valuable industrial heritage, and giving them a new function is essential for long‑term urban development. Vītolu Parks shows how well‑located areas with existing roads, utilities and nearby educational institutions can be transformed into modern, high‑quality residential environments. It is a clear example of how we can bring new life to former production sites and continue building Riga in a thoughtful, efficient way.”
“The strong interest in homes at Vītolu Parks confirms that buyers are clearly looking for modern, energy‑efficient apartments with great architecture and green, well-designed outdoor spaces, and Riga is ready for this next stage of growth. We’re proud to be driving it forward,” emphasizes Kristjan‑Thor Vähi, CEO of Invego.
Altogether, Vītolu Parks, location between Mežaparks and Skanste, will include eight seven‑storey buildings with 360 A‑class energy‑efficient homes.
