Construction has officially begun on the first phase of Mārupes Sirds, following the €11 million contract for the first construction phase already signed with EKOTEH BŪVE. This marks a significant step forward in the development of one of the most ambitious new residential districts near Riga that will eventually grow into more than 400 homes modern, sustainable and family‑oriented neighborhood.
“Starting construction is an exciting moment for everyone involved in Mārupes Sirds. This district has been carefully planned to offer modern homes, green surroundings and a comfortable everyday environment for families. With EKOTEH BŪVE as our construction partner and EfTEN Special Opportunities Fund as our co‑investor, we are confident that the project will be delivered to the highest standards. Our goal is simple — to create a neighborhood where people genuinely enjoy living,” says Kristjan‑Thor Vähi, CEO of Invego.
The first phase of Mārupes Sirds includes two residential buildings with 50 apartments, 15 row houses, a recreational area and a new internal quarter road. Construction works are carried out by SIA “EKOTEH BŪVE”, a Latvian general contractor known for delivering high‑quality residential, commercial and public buildings across the country. The company provides full‑cycle construction services and places strong emphasis on energy efficiency, durability and precise execution. The first phase is scheduled to be completed next year, creating the initial core of a district that will gradually expand into a fully integrated residential environment with green areas, sports and leisure zones, playgrounds, walking paths and essential community infrastructure.
Mārupes Sirds is designed by architect Uldis Bērziņš and the TECTUM team as an A‑class energy‑efficient residential district combining warm contemporary architecture with spacious balconies, terraces, private gardens and thoughtfully planned outdoor spaces. As construction progresses, the district will grow into one of the most notable new residential areas near Riga, offering a wide range of homes and a comfortable living environment for families of different sizes.
The project is being developed by Invego Marupe Sirds SIA, which is 100% owned by Invego Marupe Sirds Holding SIA. Invego Latvia SIA (a 100% subsidiary of Invego Latvia OÜ) owns 50% of this holding company, while the remaining 50% is owned by the second investor, EfTEN Special Opportunities Fund.
